Philips SMART Analysis checks the patient’s heart rhythm to determine whether a shock is appropriate. When the AED advises a shock, the user controls delivery through the orange shock button. Therefore, the HS1 uses semiautomatic operation rather than delivering a shock without user action.
Compact Design and Automatic Self-Tests
The OnSite weighs about 3.3 pounds with a battery and pads cartridge. Its compact housing also makes it easy to carry within a facility.
Automatic daily, weekly, and monthly self-tests check key systems, including the battery and pads. However, these checks do not replace routine maintenance or the need to replace expired supplies.
Replacement Battery and SMART Pads Compatibility
