2019 ZOLL R Series ALS Defibrillator Monitor
This ZOLL R Series ALS defibrillator monitor combines heart monitoring and advanced life support therapy in one hospital unit. It supports manual defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion and noninvasive pacing.
The unit also tracks ECG, blood oxygen (SpO2), end-tidal CO2 (EtCO2) and blood pressure (NIBP). You also get hard paddles, a SurePower battery and the items listed below.

Extra items to buy: Disposable defibrillation pads, CPR-sensing electrodes, adhesive ECG electrodes and CO2 airway adapters. This set does not come with those items. It also does not come with a separate battery charger, software licenses or network setup.
Defibrillation, Cardioversion and Pacing
The unit uses ZOLL Rectilinear Biphasic shocks, with energy from 1 to 200 joules. It also offers synchronized cardioversion, which times the shock to the ECG R-wave.
Noninvasive pacing lets trained staff set the pacing rate and current. It also offers demand and asynchronous modes. For external shocks, this set comes with a pair of hard paddles. You can also use the OneStep cable with compatible hands-free therapy electrodes. However, you must buy those electrodes as extra items.
ECG and Blood Oxygen Monitoring
The 3-lead ECG cable lets the unit track heart rhythm and heart rate. Its RA, LA and LL leads match the set in the photos.
SpO2 tracks blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate. The screen also shows a pulse trace. You get both the reusable finger sensor and the Masimo MNC-1 adapter cable.
CO2 and Noninvasive Blood Pressure
The CAPNOSTAT 5 mainstream CO2 sensor reads CO2 at the airway adapter. The screen also shows end-tidal CO2, breath rate and a capnogram, or CO2 trace. However, this set does not come with an airway adapter, so order a compatible adapter for your needs.
NIBP shows systolic, diastolic and mean arterial pressure. It also offers single readings, checks at set times and STAT readings. You get one Adult 11 cuff and one hose. For other cuff sizes, please order extra cuffs.
CPR Feedback and Readiness Checks
Real CPR Help gives feedback on the rate and depth of chest compressions. To use this feature, staff need compatible ZOLL CPR-sensing electrodes. However, this set does not come with those electrodes. The hard paddles and therapy cable do not contain the CPR sensor.
The unit also runs automatic self-tests and shows its readiness status. Before use, trained staff should follow the ZOLL user guide and their site’s rules for readiness checks.
Display, Printer and Power
A 6.5-inch color display shows traces and key values. Meanwhile, the thermal printer inside the unit records ECG strips and event details.
The unit runs on AC power or a SurePower battery. It also charges the battery inside the unit when you connect AC power. However, this set comes with a used battery, so runtime depends on battery health and how you use the unit. Ask our team for any battery test records.
Data Transfer and Cable Storage
The DATA COMM II card can send data over a wireless network. However, your team needs compatible ZOLL software and the correct network setup to use this feature.
The rear cable organizer keeps cables and small items with the unit. It also comes with a pouch and the short AC lead shown in the photos.

Yes. You get the CAPNOSTAT 5 sensor and its cable. However, this set does not come with an airway adapter, so you must buy one that fits.
Does the package include pads or adhesive ECG electrodes?
No. You must buy those items. However, you get hard paddles, a OneStep therapy cable and a 3-lead ECG cable with this unit.
Can the unit charge its battery?
Yes. The unit can charge a compatible battery inside its battery slot while it uses AC power. Therefore, you can charge the battery in the unit without an extra charger.
